Uncompromising durability and quality are the elements that not only built the brand and gained it fame, but also its current goals. In 1922, the Williamson-Dickie company was founded in Fort Worth, Texas, to produce overalls. Over time, this company became the largest manufacturer of workwear in the world. Clothing that can withstand almost anything found its customers in Europe as early as the 1950s. In the 1990s, another wave of Dickies came to Europe, when American skaters and BMX riders brought it, who realized that it was durable clothing that could withstand their falls for as long as possible. From the street, iconic Dickies models were then transferred to other subcultures such as Hip Hop, Graffiti, Urban style and Pop culture. The trousers are the brand's showcase and the most popular models include the 874 Work Pants, which today replace the narrower 873 models with straight legs or the 872 with narrow leg ends. For skateboarding, the popular model is the Dickies Industrial 894 Pants with Flex Fit technology. The Dickies skate team includes names like Jamie Foy, Tom Knox, Franky Villani, and Ronnie Sandoval.
